What If You’re Not Emotionally Stuck, You’re Just Not Asking the Right Questions?

Before I’d equipped myself with emotional skills, I didn’t even realise that my brain had stopped being curious. It just accepted emotional challenge and disempowerment as facts.

Thoughts like:

  • "Confidence, worth or self-assurance are for other people."

  • "I can't change how I feel."

  • "This is just how things are."

None of these thoughts were questions, they were conclusions. They were shutting down any emotional growth for me before it even started.

What changed everything?

Switching from statements to questions.

💭 What might be emotionally possible for me that I haven’t yet realised?
💭 Could I feel (enter any emotion here e.g. confidence), even if I never have before?
💭 Is it possible I’m missing out emotionally on what’s possible for me?

These weren't just reflective prompts, they genuinely started me off on a complete emotional transformation.

Emotional curiosity isn’t just interesting. It’s incredibly powerful. It opens the door to self-support, emotional empowerment and life-long change.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, disempowered or unsupported lately, try asking your brain a better question this week. Let your curiosity lead.

I promise, it'll set you apart. Observe others and you will see how they are reporting their emotional experience rather than considering how it could be different.

You’ll be surprised where emotional curiosity can take you. If you’d like to show up for yourself and take a first step now, you can sign up to my free weekly newsletter, linked in this post. It goes out every Wednesday so you can grab yours today!

Practical, simple skills that really work. I’ve transformed my life and now have the privilege of passing these skills on to you. I equip you with the skills, so that YOU can support and empower YOURSELF.

I appreciate LinkedIn isn’t everyone’s favourite place to make personal comments, but if you’d like to, please do share thoughts or experiences, clarify ideas of ask advice in the comments below. I’ll always be delighted to hear from you and provide support.

If you’d like private support today, DM me any time you like for a personal, supportive response.
