The Energising Impact of Empowering Emotions…
Energy - one of the most precious commodities we have.
We’re all looking for more energy in our lives and considering this from an emotional perspective is incredibly helpful.
Our energy levels are constantly shaped by our emotional experience because emotions aren’t abstract concepts, they’re physical sensations in our body.
We’ve all been to a kids birthday party and observed the energy they experience from excitement!
That’s why emotional empowerment is so much more than just “feeling better”.
When I intervened to change my brain and removed its tendency towards anxiety for example, the energy that came my way was incredible.
For years, I thought I felt frazzled most days simply because of my circumstances.
Getting Our Brain on Board With Empowerment…
In developing emotional empowerment, we aren’t looking to avoid or repress challenging emotions.
We’re focused on wanting to minimise their frequency and reduce their duration.
We want to allow challenging emotions to pass with minimal impact…critically, saving you a huge amount of energy that’s otherwise lost to emotional weight and drain.
Before we can feel energised by empowering influence however, we have to have thoughts that encourage this focus.
Without focus and prioritisation, emotional empowerment isn’t possible.
Luckily, our brain loves us to save energy. In fact it’s designed to encourage us to save energy where we can.
We can use this to our advantage.
If we embed thoughts that positively encourage the energising benefits of emotional empowerment, focus and prioritisation will naturally follow.
Enabling Your Brain to Embed Empowering New Concepts
As we’ve discussed, our emotions are physical sensations and therefore have a critical impact on our daily energy levels.
Embedding this concept delivers motivation towards prioritising empowerment. We’re consciously focusing on an obvious benefit.
So how do we embed such concepts into our brain successfully?
Your brain learns to embed emotionally empowering concepts through gentle repetition.
Not because you’re lacking intelligence.
Only because repetition builds and strengthens new neurological pathways, ones that help your brain think in more empowering ways.
